Rikaoto by ME which is the brainchild of Mariam Elisha is no newcomer in the Nigerian fashion scene. Since her inception into the industry she has grown largely and quite appraising over the years putting her brand on much reflection amidst the top guns of the industry.
She recently participated in the D.C. Fashion Week 2013, featuring the Spring and Summer 2014 Collections of designers from around the world and took place recently at the Woolly Mammoth Theater with an eco-friendly designer showcase which was a big experience for her filled with fun and quite inspiring all through her stay.
Innovative works, including dresses made of up-cycled cork screws and dolls by Isagus Extroversions, demonstrated how ordinary materials could be transformed into extraordinary works of wearable art.
Her participation was truly a wonderful experience as she was with a lot of big designers back stage, Top International models coupled with a uniquely different american audience.
Her clothes were highly patronised at the fashion show and this sets a big milestone in her career as she plans expanding more with time.
